What I learned with this assignment is how to create maps. If there is something documented, like a fault line, pollution areas, bus transportation, etc.. then you are able to document and map it. The information that I found and was given better prepares people for natural disasters because it gives information on where exactly a fault line is. Wherever you live in world, you are able to locate the area you live in and get information and retrieving data to come to conclusions. Its also interesting to see other parts of the world. First, I looked up San Diego and I really noticed that fault line, and the trolleys that are really close to them and one line was parallel to them. If you live in an area where its prone to hurricanes, then you can see the plate tectonics exactly where they're at. I thought the tool was fun and was handy to prepare better for disasters, and to just explore.
